If higher consumption continues beyond 60 days, mix kelp with salt, one-to-one, to reduce intake & consult your nutritionist. When feeding Icelandic kelp free-choice, provide one covered mineral feeder for every 25-30 cows & every 40-50 sheep or goats. Also make sure animals have access to salt & clean water.

House Plants & Container Boxes: Use 1 heaping teaspoon per inch of pot diameter. Gently work kelp into the soil surface being careful not to disturb the feeder roots. For large containers, use 2 heaping tablespoons per 100 square inches of soil surface.
For transplanting sprinkle bottom of hole with a small amount of kelp & work into the soil prior to planting. Kelp improves root development (mitosis).
Biologically Active or Vigorous Soil: Use 1lb per 100-120 sq ft.
Medium Fertility Soil: Use 1lb per 75-90 sq ft.

Make application in early Spring when flush of new growth appears. Reapply midway through the growing season. Then again in the Fall. Gardens in warm climates may require more frequent applications.
