Free-choice Feeding:
Cattle, sheep and goats tend
to self-regulate free-choice consumption of Thorvin to levels consistent
with recommended rates. In some cases, animals will consume larger than
normal quantities, but this binge typically only lasts 30-60 days, depending
on the animal's mineral status. If higher consumption continues beyond 60
days, mix Thorvin with salt, one-to-one, to reduce intake, and consult your
nutritionist. When feeding Thorvin free-choice, provide one covered mineral
feeder for every 25-30 cows and every 40-50 sheep or goats. Also make sure
animals have access to salt and clean water.
As our soil erodes and is washed into the sea, kelp feeds on the dissolved minerals. Worked into the soil, dried kelp returns depleted minerals to the land, improving texture and fertility. Thorvin's 100% natural organic fertilizer is a non-burning mineralizer. Applied year round to vegetables, ornamentals, and trees it provides excellent vital nutrients our plants need. We use it mixed in water when transplanting as well. The fertilizer ratio of Thorvin Kelp is 1-0-2.

Thorvin kelp is produced in a pristine environment close to the Arctic Circle. Thorvin kelp is geothermically dried under low temperatures that keep the vitamins, minerals, and enzymes intact.
Thorvin carefully selects and harvests the finest sea vegetation from around the world. Thorvin Kelp is harvested from Northwest Iceland on the edge of the Artic Circle. These kelps beds were chosen for their nutrient content, clean growing site and sustainability of harvest. The cold, clean waters of this area offer the perfect conditions for growing. Thorvin Kelp is dried near the harvest site, so the kelp does not lose any of the nutrients in transport. The kelp is geothermically dried at low temperatures to protect the minerals, vitamins and beneficial phytonutrients.
Thorvin is deeply committed to being environmentally, economically, and socially responsible - for nearly three decades Thorvin has implemented harvesting practices to promote sustainability and protect the aquatic biodiversity of the kelp fields where they harvest.
Pure ocean marine algae seaweed from the world's cleanest and richest sea waters, Thorvin kelp contains 60 minerals, natural vitamins and other health factors.
